Balloon Discovery Workshop For Kids
Children will get to experience the thrill of hot air ballooning during a special workshop on Saturday, September 11 from 1:30-4:00 p.m. at this year’s annual Huff ‘n Puff Balloon Rally. The workshop, designed for 4th through 6th graders, will give students a chance to learn all aspects of controlling a hot air balloon, plus the fun physics of hot air rising as they construct their own miniature hot air balloon. The class will be held at Lake Shawnee’s Reynold’s Lodge on Tinman Circle.
Registration includes a Huff ‘n Puff t-shirt, balloon supplies, and the opportunity for these budding pilots to be on a real hot air balloon crew Saturday night, September 11 or Sunday morning, September 12. Cost is only $25 and class size is limited; registration is first come, first served and payment must accompany registration.
